Join us at Shri Vishnu Mandir, Almere, for six sacred Shravan Monday evenings filled with Shiv Pooja, Rudrabhishek, Vedic chanting, Shiv Sadhana, Bhajans, Maha Aarti and Prasad.

Everyone is warmly welcome

Shravan Maas is a sacred period for the worship of Bhagwan Shiva. Devotees may attend freely through Shiv Manas Pooja or submit a participation request as a Mukhya Yajman or Pradhaan Yajman. Yajman participation is subject to confirmation by the temple team.

Every Monday from 3 August through 7 September 2026.

The evening concludes with Maha Aarti and Prasad. Vrat Prasad will also be available.

How the evening will flow

Please arrive a little early so that everyone can be seated before the Pooja begins.

18:00–18:15

Arrival and seating

Devotees arrive, take their places and prepare for the Pooja.

18:30–19:30

Shravan Shiv Pooja and Rudrabhishek

Shodashopachara Pooja, Rudrabhishek and recitation from the Pancham Adhyaya of Rudrashtadhyayi.

Around 19:30

Laghu Aarti

A short Aarti will be performed at the end of the Pooja. Devotees who need to leave early may receive Prasad and Panchamrit after the Laghu Aarti.

19:30–20:30

Shiv Sadhana and Bhajan Sandhya

Shiv Sadhana, devotional Bhajans and performances by Rasiks and guest artists.

Around 20:30

Maha Aarti and Prasad

The evening concludes with Maha Aarti and Prasad for all devotees.

Participate in the complete Shodashopachara Pooja and Rudrabhishek with the Pancham Adhyaya of Rudrashtadhyayi performed on the temple's main Shivlinga.

When you click the WhatsApp button, the request message generated from the details above is first stored on rasiks.com with a unique reference and timestamp. WhatsApp will then open, and you can decide whether to send the message to the Shri Vishnu Mandir event team.

Before you send your request

Important information

  • The Shivling and all required Pooja items will be provided by the temple.
  • Devotees may bring their own Prasad to offer during the Pooja or after the Laghu Aarti.
  • There is no fixed limit on family participation for Mukhya and Pradhaan Yajmans. Please provide the expected total in advance.
  • Mukhya Yajman requests may include one or multiple Mondays. The Dakshina is €35 for each selected Monday.
  • Pradhaan Yajman requests may include one Monday only.
  • Sending a WhatsApp request does not guarantee availability.
  • The temple team will confirm participation separately after checking the selected date and category.
  • Requests will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • The request deadline is 30 July 2026.

Everyone is welcome

Devotees who do not wish to participate as a Yajman are warmly invited to attend the Shiv Manas Pooja, Shiv Sadhana, Bhajan Sandhya, Maha Aarti and Prasad without registration.
